I think it's time for some new seat covers

After looking at recent posts, I realize that my old beat up seats are really needing new covers, but since there is no way I have the cash for a new interior, I remembered that I had a set of these stuck up in my closet from 10 or so years back. I think I'll toss 'em on tomorrow.

I installed seat covers on my Dodge that kind of look like yours and alot of people really like them. I appreciate new upholsted seats but I like people to think of my car being used as a family rig not just for show.

By the way I don't know how good the seat covers are that are in your rig now but on mine they were in pretty decent shape. So when Installed the new seat cover I use a spray glue to hold them in place and it really worked out well. The new old seat cover were old stock and I found out that I could not place them on because they would rip. So I used the spray glue and it work out great!!!!

Green for me!!!!!

Mike...the green ones are easier on the eyes and I think would flow better with the Marine Blue paint on your exterior. Those red ones would sure wake one up in the morning...that's for sure!

Yea, my sense is that the green ones will be better for sure, but dang there is something about those red ones, I think I gotta try the red ones. Yea, I'm gonna put the red ones on. These are what are currently on the seats, but that's an old pic. and they are pretty beat up now. I wish I had another set of them as I like them best of all the ones I've had on the old beater over the years.

Hi Mike. I think red would go better with your blue car.

I guess I must think like you......I like my maroon plaid covers which I paid about $20 for. However, they are getting worn. IM004112.jpg

If you use the green ones and want to part with the red ones ..shoot me an email and we'll see if we can't work something out. I think the red would look good in mine, The"BOSS" wants the car as white as much as possible, but almost have her convinced that it needs some other color to give it a look of some kind instead of a bowl of sugar..

John 47plevy, I tried the red covers but they were a bit big, what exactly is the 47 plevy? If the seat is larger than my P15 bizzy coupe, then they might work for you, but they are a little too big for my beater. So I went with the green, they fit nicely, as always, it will take a few weeks for the creases to work their way out of the seat covers. Every time I use Hog Rings, I end up stabbing myself, what do you guys use for installation? I think next time I'm gonna use strap ties instead of those goddamn hog rings. When I get some more spare time, I'll probably use the leftovers (covers for the back seat that I don't need) for the back shelf and kick panels.

...that dice knob may be the activator. I've been doing some investigative work and if you study the two attached photos taken in 1947 or 48, you'll see Mike's Bizzy Coupe out front. Then, when I zoomed into the area in the back room, you can see those Gorvin seat covers he seems to have an endless supply of. Hmmm.... Been to Roswell lately Mike?

Mike:

The 47 Plevy is a 47 4dr P-15 Special Deluxe. It's been sub-framed with a S10, so is kinda Hybrid Plymouth and Chevy = PLEVY I know, too much imagination...

David, I love that dealer pic. I have it saved from the first time you posted it a few years back. It's one one my favorites. Dang it that Business coupe does not look identical to mine before mine got it's rear end violated by a Hyundai, hense all of the body work and black paint. Don C., check it out, no more dice knob. The dang thing finally crumbled away and I had to put on my super cool, original light switch knob.
