adam_knox Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 So this weekend I experienced the greatest benefit of being a member of this forum. I got to meet up with the legendary Merle and his friend Ken. They generously spent their Saturday afternoon helping me lower the Jeep. If I would have done it by myself it would have turned into a two and half week head scratcher, botch job, and eventual tow to a repair shop to tell me I ruined X,Y, and Z in the process. Instead it was one of the most enjoyable Saturdays I've had in a long time! I learned so much, laughed, am forever in debt to Ken and his fiance (who donated the tires off her Jeep for the project!) and made one heckuva memory. Anyways, as the warm weather approaches and we pull our cars out of the garage, take 'em for a spin over to your nearest forum member. And if they're not home, swing down to Savannah and we'll grill out! (just give me a month to get down there first!) BTW: If there's ever a part removal race in a junkyard, I'm putting my money down on Merle. Not only can he loosen a stuck nut without a sweat, he took parts off the Jeep faster than I could install a new shock! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 Cool. There are a lot of good guys on here. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 How's it drive now? It's gotta be much different. It was a fun day for us too. Plus I got to cruise around in my Ol' Dodge truck to chase for parts and tools. Merle ps. Did I give you the cold I was fighting? I saw in another post where you were high on sudifed. Quote
Young Ed Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 Now we know how Merle got such a nice truck. He's quick at "borrowing" parts at car shows Quote
