austinsailor Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Saved it from the crusher. No dents, no rust, interior usable. Scrap price. How much better can it get? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Sure can't see much wrong with that car. Does it have an engine & trans? What's the "rest of the story" - inquiring MO minds want to know. Quote
PatS.... Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Nice. I have a club coupe and a 4 door parts car. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Is it a Six ? Looks like a Windsor front nose. Quote
adam_knox Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Wow! What a find! Are you planning on fixing it up? If so, I put some of the wiring documents in the photo section. Let me know if you need anything, I have a few other documents scanned for that year. Looks like you have a fun project this summer! Enjoy! If you happen to be parting it out, there's a few items on my wish list... Quote
Flatie46 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Looks like an excelent buy, to many good cars and parts being crushed. Quote
RobertKB Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Congratulations! Looks like you saved a winner. Car looks decent enough to be saved rather than parted out. Lots of great parts if you decide to go that route though or you could likely flip it and make some money also. Surprising it was in the boneyard waiting to be crushed. Quote
John Reddie Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Good deal:). I had a '49 Chrysler Windsor coupe and it was a great car. Other than missing taillight lenses, yours looks complete in the photo. These are nice driving cars. John R Quote
PatS.... Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 My parts car: This one likely won't be running again, yours looks like it should. Quote
austinsailor Posted April 17, 2010 Author Report Posted April 17, 2010 There are several ahead of it, but it's a 6 cylinder fluid drive, was running not so long ago. Missing the stainless on the rockers, and the pot metal trim going around the right front fender. Otherwise, all there. Except the taillight lenses, of course. I'm beginning to have too many projects. Didn't think that could happen, but, oh well. It should run with a little effort. Brakes will have to be redone, but a little tinkering with the motor should get her up and going. Quote
