Bradley S.
Hey; Check out this pohoto. I was going to use the old front panel but this daylight through the top by the headlight is a real red flag to me. If it is that thin there, where else? Opinions? Just in case, does anyone have a front a panel they want to sell? Thanks, Brad
1949P17BC
Thats nothing, pull it apart, grind it down and weld it up, or, leave it on,grind out the rot top and bottom. Put a patch of fiberglass or cat hair filer from underneath, let it dry and them use body filler on top. aint pretty but it will work
Reg Evans
If it's the 51-53 I have a front panel available.
Flatie46
It's a natural signal light mounting hole!
Dave72dt
I found the most rust on mine under the grill bars by the park lights. You'll probably find problems in the flange area where the fenders bolt to the front panel. I prefer cutting the rust area out, making patch panels and butt welding them in. If that's all there is, I'd patch it myself. JMO.
Flatie46
If it don't get much bigger when you clean it up you can take a piece of brass and lay behind it and fill it in with a mig a little at a time. But it always gets bigger than you expected.
