Fireball Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Hrrrrrrrr... -34c today, so I'm packing the family into big 'ol jetliner and heading to Orlando in two weeks, for two weeks, to enjoy life. First weekend is Daytona bikes, then Disney, Universal, malls etc. during the week and then NHRA Gatornats the following weekend. Maybe some shuttles in Cape Canaveral too. My sons (4 and 7) are so excited, maybe even more than me:D Tips are warmly welcome, we are staying in Kissimmee and there seems to be big cruise every weekend in old town. I have been so busy in the garage that I haven't even posted any updates of my build lately, but as a sidenote I can say that it's guaranteed to be on the road when summer comes, as planned. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Maybe olddaddy can enlighten you to the local car scene..he is in Davenport just outside Kissimmee..I'm just about 5 hours north of there... Good to hear the project is nearly roadworthy... Quote
Robin (UK) Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Hey, You'll have a great time. We took our son to Florida in the summer of 2008. Make sure you check out the Kennedy Space Center - allow a whole day for your visit. It is absolutely amazing. The highlight of the trip for me. Also, if you can get to Fort Lauderdale, I'd recommend the dinner show at the Mai Kai restaurant. It's a 1950s Polynesian themed relic, with hula dancers and live music. A real slice of nostalgia. Hope you have a great time. Robin. Quote
Fireball Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 I agree Robin, I went there back in '91 and enjoyed then. My older boy is really into Star wars nowadays so I think one day is for Kennedy. Tim, I gotta take the camera into garage tomorrow and share some fresh interior job. Quote
