Hey, I was perusing the latest issue of Hot Rod Deeluxe Magazine, came across a feature on Car Club Plaques, featuring a plaque collector Stan the Plaque Man.

I was amazed at the many different plaques, most of which are from the Southern California area.

But I was sure surprized when I saw plaques from my Hometown, Winnipeg, and surrouding area of Manitoba.

Clubs such as Coiquistadores, Pacemakers, King Pins, Coils Customs, Thunderbirds, Strokers, and Catalina Car Clubs.

Now that is anot a bad number of clubs for little old Winnipeg and area.......Fred

In my hometown in MO during my high school days, several of the car

guys formed the "Kustom" club. Not the most original name perhaps,

but they had license plaques made. Some were mounted on or below

the bumper, some made brackets to display them in the back window.

Awesome article. It would be a neat accessory, but you won't find one for Oklahoma city. :(

By the way, what ever happened with the license plate toppers? There was a thread not too long ago about making some P-15 D-24 toppers.

Here are a couple cool ones.
