41/53dodges Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 ok, i am pretty sure there has got to be a better place for this, like a suggestion box or something, but this has to work because i dont know about anything like that. i am kinda suggesting we make a suggestion area for the whole forum site, and maybe a video archive for technical things, like walk-thrus on adjustments and other procedures that we new guys dont know yet. it is rather difficult to work from descriptions most of the time, i myself generally dont get the instructions, so this type of thing would be quite useful. what are everybody's thoughts? i am also posting this on the car side to see what they think. 41/53dodges Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 kinda, but a database specifically for videos. sort of a youtube that is actually useful and has information for the old chrysler products. Quote
JBNeal Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 how'bout a thread with a link to YouTube...that oughta keep bandwidth usage down on this site Quote
41/53dodges Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 have a link put on the home page, maybe? Quote
41/53dodges Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 could this work? http://www.youtube.com/youtubeonyoursite Quote
48Dodger Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Well....GTK owns/runs this forum. He does it with donations and no ads*. I would image that running the site with more options would add to the work load. personally I dont have a problem with the search button, and in most cases everyone is fine with restating a fix or posting a link to a past thread. I like the idea of a place for the videos. 48D *click the "Forum Donation Info" button, or this link: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar/p15d24_site/P15D24_supporters2.php Quote
Guest P15-D24 Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Just post a thread with the word "Video" in the subject field plus the topic. In the thread embed the youTube link or at least the link to the youTube page. The bigger problem is someone creating the content. Quote
