RobertKB Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) I like Photobucket but for a while now whenever I do anything on it like click on a picture, changes pages or albums, I get a notice that comes up that says "This page is accessing information that is not under its control. This poses a security risk. Do you want to continue?" You can then click yes or no. I always click no and it still lets me do whatever I am doing. I have hit yes a couple of times by mistake and it makes no difference. You cannot do anything else on Photobucket until you click either the no or yes box. It is annoying. I have used Photobucket for about four years and only recently got this probem. Anyone know how I get it to stop doing this? Edited January 28, 2010 by RobertKB Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I do not have that problem with my album. Follow this link and ask Photobucket. http://photobucket.com/contact Quote
RobertKB Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks, Don. Probably the logical thing to do. I just copied and pasted my post and sent it to them. We'll see what they say. Quote
PatS.... Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I think that message would more likely be from your browser or your firewall program. I use PB quite a bit and have never had that message, but since "upgrading to new hard drive and new browser and new firewall, I've gotten similar messages from other sites. Quote
Job~Rated Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Are you a paid up member on photobucket? That might make a difference. I've used it for years & never seen a message like that, but then I use the free account. Quote
Jim Saraceno Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 That sounds like a web browser setting to me. Quote
dezeldoc Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Robert, you sure you did not pick up a virus? i would run a scan on it and make sure. Quote
RobertKB Posted January 29, 2010 Author Report Posted January 29, 2010 I run AVG Free and it shows no virus. I have not had any viral problems with AVG and would recommend it to others. Photobucket said to check my settings on my firewall whatever that means. I am no computer expert. I'll have to get my 16 year old nephew over so he can fix it and give me a bad time by calling me stupid. Good kid and knows his uncle! Quote
