Don Coatney Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Just had to get on ya for that one norm. Now think how funny it would be if someone made such a thing and you could sneak it under your buddies hood like an exploding cigar. Back in the late 50,s you could buy a novelty car "whistle bomb". This was a device that connected to the spark plugs and as soon as the engine was started it would make a loud whistle and a boom. Once while visiting some cousins I snuck out and hooked one of these up to my parents 53 Cadillac. As soon as my dad started the car and the bomb went off the car started to mis-fire. Seems the wire that was supposed to fall off the spark plug wire was still connected and shorting out the plug. I sure got reamed for that prank. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 I used the same paint on my engine. I'm surprised to see it's held up so well on yours, Don. I would LOVE to have one of those whistle bomb devices. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 That reminds me of a gag I saw once where someone had wired a guy's brakes to his horn. Every time he stepped on his brakes, the horn went off. It was hilarious. Anyone know how to do that? I want to do it to my brother. Quote
Young Ed Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 You'd have to connect the horn wire to a brake light switch. When the brakes are pushed it would operate the switch and complete the circuit same as the horn button does. You'd have to pull the horn button out of the picture. Quote
