Bob_Koch Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 The email just came to me. I thought I would share it here on the forum and if any of you can help Greg in this project or parts that he needs then contact him. His email is below. --------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I am with the Hancock Fire Co. in Hancock Maryland. We recently bought back our old 1951 Dodge Fire Truck which we sold about 15 years ago. We are in the begining the process of restoration. We sent the Master Cylinder away and it has been lost. I am hoping someone can point me to where parts may be available. We will need several things, including the front Crome Grille. Attached is a photo of it now. Thank you for your time. Greg Yost Dep. Young Ed Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 If that master cylinder is the same as a smaller truck a new one should be available from any major brake place. These guys are great I get lots of my stuff from them http://www.brakeplace.com/ Quote
Big50Dodge Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Might be the same outside - I'm 99% sure they are different bore insides. The 1/2 and 3/4 ton are 7/8 - maybe 1 inch bore. The larger trucks are 1.5 bore. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I'd still give them a try. They had brand new master cylinders for both my 46 & 48 on the shelf. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Send the vin tag info off the drivers pillar as to if it`t a B3/4- R,T,V-Y series ect. I might have a master cylinder for you. Bob Quote
