Reg Evans Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 4 speed synchro. I drained it and removed the top to inspect. Didn't see any loose metal or broken teeth. You pay shipping or come and get it. According to my back it must weigh nearly 100 lbs. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 That one wouldn't happen to fit a Fluid Drive now would it? I also have a 4 speed syncro trans for a standard clutch truck, but I don't believe it'll won't work with my Fluid Drive setup. I'd love to upgrade from my spur gear 4 speed some day. Merle Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 25, 2009 Author Report Posted November 25, 2009 Merle, If I remember correctly this one came on a truck with a regular clutch. Quote
oldmopar Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Reg,Merle Can that trans be swapped for the spur gear trans in a straight swap ? Quote
1955 plymouth Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 if you still have the tranny here in about couple weeks or so, I am planning a road trip down to Cali. I might have to stop by, meet you and receive the reward. I will check back when we are getting closer to taking off. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Reg,Merle Can that trans be swapped for the spur gear trans in a straight swap ? I believe so, as long as your truck isn't a Fluid Drive setup. You would have to double check the mounting bolt pattern and the input shafts, but I believe it should work. Merle Quote
