B-2-C oil fliter, and new micrometer

Another question. Where can I get an oil filter for the B-2-C? I pulled the one out that was in it and it is cloth covered and dome shaped on top. The ones that are listed in places like Rock Auto for the B-2-C don't look anything like what I pulled out.

And one more, where is good place to purchace a micrometer for checking the crank journal, and what are good brands.

I had the very same question about oil filters a while back and got my replacement cloth filter at NAPA. This is for a B3B, though - not sure if yours is the same but suspect it is.

They didn't have it in local stock but were able to get it in two days.

2 numbers I have for the sock filter are a NAPA 1011 or wix 51011.

You can order from rockauto under the part# tab put in wix 51011

Yup, that's the one. It's gonna be a TIGHT fit. It'll help if you oil it up a little bit.

As for micrometers... check with Sears. I remember seeing them in their catalogs. If you have a Sears store near you they may even have some in stock. They usually come in 1" ranges, 0-1", 1"-2", etc, so you need to have a rough idea which size you need to get the right one.

Check eBay for starrett micrometers. There are several listed at a good price.
