JJs 1948 Posted September 16, 2009 Author Report Posted September 16, 2009 Nope, didn't work. Help please from someone!! Quote
wldavis3 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Let's see, JJ, I have done this before, but not many times. When you hit the button "Post Reply" at the bottom of the last post, it, of course, brings up a large white box for you to type your reply. If you want to post a photo, go down below the text of your new post that you are typing, and hit "Manage Attachments". Another box pops-up. One line is for you to browse your computer, to look for photos that you want to download and display with your post. The other line lets you upload photos from a site on the web using a URL. Does this make sense? But it will not let you download a photo if it is too large (in bytes). Try it. -Bill Quote
wldavis3 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Very nice truck, JJ. Here is what I did just then -- I opened a new reply, highlighted your URL (the second line -- I could not get the first line to open a photo), right clicked on it, left clicked on "Copy". I went to the line when you click on "Manage Attachments" that says URL, right clicked on it, left clicked "Paste", then the photo information popped up under "Manage Attachments" on the reply page. Then, I clicked "Submit Reply". Does any of this make any sense??? I know -- I hate computers too. Quote
greg g Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 The link to you first photo was corrupted by some extra letters. Look at your post you tried to embed "htthttp://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz217/zanadie52/DSC00459.jpgp://" What you needed was: http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz217/zanadie52/DSC00459.jpg remember when you use the image button the http:// is aready in the box so you needn't copy it, nor any thing after the ".jpg" Nice truck by the way. greg g Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Here is your other one Also when you put your cursor on the thumbnail of you pic on the bucket page a smaal block will open under it with some url lines already there. One says direct right click on that line then copy it then past it in the dialoge box thet comes up when you open the insert image button. befor you past remove the http:// that is in the box as the pasted material will contain it. Do it enough time and muscle memory will take. Also at the bottom of the text box for your post it says go advanced, click that then click preview post. It will preview how your post will look. Quote
JJs 1948 Posted September 16, 2009 Author Report Posted September 16, 2009 Starting to make some sense now. Thanks for the info and I'll try again soon. This forum made it possible for me to end up with a restored Pilot-House Truck so I wanted to post some good photos. Quote

wldavis3 Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 JJ, Yes, post some more photos of your nice truck. I wish I could "end up with a restored Pilot-House truck" this fine. Quote
