wayfarerstranger Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I WENT to CAR SHOW swap meet yesterday i normally go late in the afternoon but woke up early as i had a nightmare that DON C. was outside taking my WOODIE WAGON apart for firewood ! so i got there early & everybody was still setting up & lots hadn`t arrived , i found a lot of good deals but the best one was a wire feed welder that you can use with gas or without made by THE EASTWOOD COMPANY got to be a good one ! with gauges , both kinds of wire & a heavy duty cart. when i ask how much i thought i was TIM ADAMS ? the guy said 75.00 ! lucky for me i had found DON C`S wallet on my front lawn full of old money so i was able to get get some goodies at the show !! also a few weeks back there was a 49 Plymouth radio on ebay for 20 bucks & the ad said that it worked ,nobody bid on it so i contacted the guy he confirmed that it played, but i wasn`t sure he was being truthful and the shipping was a little high but i took a risk & now i have a super nice playing radio in my wagon cost me 50 bucks shipped ! so the moral of the story is to pretend that you are TIM ADAMS & keep DON C. " RACE CAR DRIVER" out of your yard ! & one day you might end up with some RODNEY BULLOCK "movie star" type cars !! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Chance..you paint me as being a tightwad that has to have a super deal in order to open the wallet...THANKS Norman Rockwell could not have done a better job..and I am not so sure that Don C in your yard last night was a dream...!!! wayfarerstranger Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 I MEANT you are my HERO & and you are as lucky as a leprochan !!!!!!! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I know what you meant but the picture you painted could not have been more accurate than if Norman Rockwell himself painted it..I do believe in the fact that you got to get out there and shake the bushes to get the real deals,,some fall in your lap but it is the actively seeking that really pays off..sometimes you come home full of goodies..other is a dry run..but it is all part in part of the hobby and I do so enjoy swap meets...however..if you don't get out there..odd are you will not get the deal of a lifetime...I know..I now have two P15 clocks and less than 50.00 for the both combined Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 It was only approporate to cook my wieners last night with woody wood:D Quote
