lorandunn Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Does anybody have any good pics out there of thier rear axle/leaf springs with lowing blocks installed? Maybe I'm thinking about this wrong but my leafs are OVER the axle...wouldn't blocks just make it taller? Or am I just sitting at work wondering instead of in my garage looking? Quote
YukonJack Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 If you have a car the springs should be under the axle. Then blocks would lower it. You didn't mention what type of vehicle this is. On a truck, springs over axle, blocks would raise it. Quote
38plymouth Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 I lowered the rear of my 38 3/4 of an inch by using 3 1/4 pieces of flat steel that was the same size as the springs. I didn't even need new "U" bolts. My springs are under the axle though. Quote
greg g Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 hey 38 did you get your clutch project completed??? Quote
38plymouth Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 hey 38 did you get your clutch project completed??? I shipped my parts to Rochester Clutch and Brake yesterday. I'm hoping to have the new stuff back next week. I'm getting ready to do the rear seal and oil pan gasket while I'm waiting. Quote
