I'm selling the 47. It should be in the "cars for sale" section on this site soon. Here's a link to my photobucket in the meantime.

Best.

ARTHUR

Nice pics, Arthur. I have a question though. I noticed that the door panels have an insert of the same fabric on that is on the seats. I was told and read on here that the '46 P15 models only had this and that the '47' and '48 models didn't. How is it you have it on your car? Are you sure it's a '47?

Darin,

Could have something to do with it being a Canadian make.

Okay, then that explains it. I like how the striped material looks on the doors, anyway.

IT looks like, from the pictures, he has done quite a bit to the car.

At the same time, there is still body work and a paint job left to go.....

so future expenses yet.

And......he still has that nice Falcon so he won't be out of old cars

totally.:)

Hi Authur, Why are you selling the old girl. You have worked so hard , now that you have turned the corner you are ready to sell it.:mad:I am sad.

The BIG M word Rodney. Something could change. I hope.

Authur, My grand dad was one person that was instrimental in my collection. He told me a long time ago that, "getting married is no reason to sell your car" short on money, no reason to sell your car. You can't fix it, no reason to sell your car. In life there are so many up's and downs. My family members (extened) would sell there instruments to pay their rent. The next month here is the rent again. They would sell everything until there was nothing left. When you build a car it is very expensive, no question. If you are tired of the car that's another thing. I hate to see young people give up on thngs. I don't know, what do I know. You have your reasons what ever you do best of luck right.:)

Arthur, what I nice job you have done. Those pictures will be extremely useful to any of us who are contemplating similar work, with no prior experience. I found the pictures of the front suspension especially interesting.

I hope you get what you want for the old girl.

Thanks for sharing.

Rodney;

Your grandfather was very wise and taught you well! If he would have been my papaw I would have a collection larger than yours only because I am older than you:cool: Keep posting your lessons learned in life as they make for good reading....icon14.gif

What a great slide show! Not only that but what a great selection of pictures. Every time I see that I am sorry that I didn't take more pictures of my car. Especially now with the digital cameras.

You've got a good looking car - it's a shame you can't enjoy the labor you put into it.
