CAN anyone ID what kind of car used the 3 clip type of wheel ?

Three clips because it has six lug holes.

Could it be from a truck?

Looks like a late 50's Chevy or GMC truck wheel to me. I drove one for many years.

what if it only had 5 lugs any idea on that ??

i bought a set of wheel suppose to be for a chevy had the 3 clips but won`t quite fit on my 51 chevy wagon bolt pattern is just a tiny bit wider on the wheels , you can force them on but not really a good idea ,, did early chevys have a little different bolt pattern ?? any ideas thanx

I have a 47 and a 42 chevy and they are 6 lug. And I think in 49 they started with the 5 lugs . If this helps you

Older Chevy cars had 5 while the trucks had six.
