Got to have my 47 P-15 Plymouth in the new movie that was shot in Cordell Oklahoma. This was my first experience with having anything to do with movies. This type of thing is rather new to Oklahoma. The scenes were shot in Oklahoma City, Cordell, Enid, and Tulsa. I live close to Cordell, so I made contac with the movie production co. They called me the day before the shoot, and wanted me in Cordell. It was fun to experience all the different aspects of the movie world. Cordell is a small old time town with a square and Court House. I bet we went around the main square of that Court House 500 times. My Plymouth is a coupe, and light gray in color. I may even get lucky and have a few shots of me driving it. I was the only mopar on the movie set in Cordell. Their may have been other elsewhere. Some of the town folk were rather upset with the production Becaise they removed the Oklahoma flag, and replace it with the Texas flag. The movie takes place in 1957, so they also had a 48 star flag flying. A 54 Ford ran out of gas twice on the scene because it had a hole in the gas tank, and would only hold a small amount of gas at a time. Maurice

Sounds like you had a great time.

Nice to hear they got the flag right. I see a lot of movies that miss that including some relatively big budget ones where you would think they could have paid for a reasonable historical consultant.

Glad you got some film time. When will this movie be released?

Lisa and I went to see "Public Enemies" the John Dillinger movie Monday this week. There were a lot of 30's cars in this movie. One car (I believe it was an Essex from the 30's) had a 49 plymouth bumper on the front. Only one shot of this car in the entire movie as I kept a close eye looking for that bumper again.

I think the movie will be out next summer. Yea I know, some of the vehicles that were used in the movies were not all stock. I guess they may be able to delete some of the stuff on the cars, I dont know though.
