Anyone know of places around Milwaukee to get wheel cylinders bored out? Hoping for a day turn-around (and hoping it wouldn't cost a million bucks!Could I just lightly sand the surface rust out, or am I likely to make it out of round then?

Thanks gang!

Buy a brake hone at any automotive store. Follow instructions. Easy and cheap. However, if you have any pitting, I would recommend having the cylinders resleeved or probably cheaper yet, buying new ones. I know NAPA has them.

I bought one of these wheel cyclinder hones at NAPA and at the time it cost around 15 dollars. Worked really good and save a bunch of money of what it would have cost at a machine shop. But if there is to much detoration on the bore part of cyclinder than you might just think of buying new rebuilt cyclinders.

You want to end up with a surface as smooth as glass . I used to use crocus cloth for the final smoothing , using it wet with brake fluid . As stated above , any pits , sleeve or replace .
