Rodney Bullock Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 We have had some raining daily here and the cruz spot fearing a shower was call off last nite. I knew of another cruz spot so I proceeded to the other, after about half an hour I arrived saw everyone sitting out and rode right by. The car was running so good that I just di not want to stop. I think about 1230 I got a call "you think you can come home now" The voice on the other end said:( " I guess so" I replied. I was having such a good time, I just did not want to stop. ome call it a zone, I guess I was in a zone last nite. It never rained. You cats that are working on your cars I wish you well because you got something to look forward to, With all the changes that are taking place and the elimination of car makes and models you have something that is forgotten, the driving experience in these cars. It is what it is a throw back. I love it, I envy you guy's. The first maiden ride, that's why I have so many cars because I love that feeling, the first ride...so exciting:D happy motoring! Quote
Jim Yergin Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Rodney, Which one of your cars were you driving? Jim Yergin Quote
RobertKB Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 We have had some raining daily here and the cruz spot fearing a shower was call off last nite.QUOTE]Good for you Rodney for showing your car in spite of the fact it might rain. I can't imagine cancelling a show because of rain as I drive mine in the rain when I have to. Good thing the people who cancelled the cruz-in don't live where I do. I went on a car run last Sunday and drove my '53 Plymouth through some snow, only enough to get the road wet, but still snow. The car has a heater and wipers so what the hell. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 Oh Jim it was the Plymouth 1940, Robert your right, I ain't scared of no rain. That's why they sell the wiper's and such. I did not rain so I made out like a fat rat. We had not been together for a while so it was sweet:) Quote

Wow, cool, I had no idea, thanks!!! I also have many radio shows on CD and cassette from the early 1940's including all the radio ads from back then. A real trip to play using my AM transmitter and one of my console Zenith's. I love listening to "The Shadow" with the lights all turned off with only the glow from the radio, very very cool. Quote
