buds truck Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Made a deal with Kuster (tom). since he needs my long box and I need a short box, if he would bid on the short box on e bay that is in Washington, I would trade the ebay short box for my long box. it worked, we won and we both get what we need. I just need to go pick it up now. ebay item 300310056280 Quote
Bob_Koch Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 I like how you guys solve problems. Sounds like a great solution to me. Quote
Guest Kuster13 Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 This deal put me in a good mood for the rest of the work day. I was still smiling when the dump truck dropped off the 12 yards of roadbase that was suppose to be top soil for the gardens. I still can't find my shovel.... Tom Quote
buds truck Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 Tom, if they only knew the desperate hoops we had to jump thru at the last minute to make this all work. I've been smiling all day too. Quote
48Dodger Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 You guys ROCK! And that's why I like this forum, its fun. 48D:D Quote
Allen I. Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Well that falls right into the "Why didn't I think of that" category. Sounds a little like the football draft. Nice looking bed there with a nice tailgate to boot!!! Quote
buds truck Posted May 15, 2009 Author Report Posted May 15, 2009 well, it's all set up to leave in the morning to go to eastern Washington to get the short bed. I can't believe how giddy I am. I'm more excited than when we left for Disneyland a couple weeks ago. Can't wait for tomorrow. I will update after getting it home......... steady, Tom, I can hear you breathing hard from here....... Jim Gaspard Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I am also looking for a B3B low bed to pull behind my B3B low bed truck. Preferably already converted to trailer and similar to Bud's bartered trailer below, only low boy. Jim in Dallas Quote
buds truck Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 got the shortbed and trailer back home. Very nice and virtually rust free. I am suprised at the differences in the beds. This one is obviously shorter (12 inches), but also narrower too. I did not realize it would be, but still works well for my application. Tom will be a happy camper with my bed for sure. Bud Quote
Guest Kuster13 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 I am already happy and I haven't even seen the box yet. I am looking forward to meeting up with Bud again and getting a first hand look at his truck. If I can't make arrangements before the end of May, I will have to wait until my passport shows up. Having trouble organizing a truck to haul back the box. It will work out. Tom Quote

You would only need the box then. Quote
Guest Kuster13 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Bud, How well did that trailer tow? Quote

In a couple of years when my B3B frame-off is done I will be ready to part with what's left of the B3C. Jim in Dallas Quote
