Fooling with scrap metal today I learned that a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant has the exact same wheel bolt pattern as a 1948 Plymouth. Yesterday I changed all the rotors and pads on the the little rice burner and thought, what the heck, give it a try.

I have a rear axle hub with no drum on it. The rear rotor fits over it perfectly. The distance from the rear face of the rotor to the rear face of the hub is about 3/16".

I mounted the rear rotor on a front hub that is still on a spindle. the distance between the rear face of the rotor and the mouting ears is about 9/16".

Thats the good news. Bad news is, the front rotor will not fit either hub.

try the same fitment with the top hat style front rotor from a 4wd jeep regular cherokee. I think they are less than 20 bucks same bolt pattern.

Looks like some of the hub could be trimmed at leat down to the shoulders of the bolt holes.
