If you big truck owners want to SPITFIRE

Recommended Posts

Reg, will this head work on the standard B3B 218 ci flathead six? I assume this was not a stock head, and was an aftermarket 'high performance' add-on for the Mopar flatheads. Sounds pretty cool and rare!

Jim,

This head will only fit on the 25" long engines such as found in the 1.5 ton and larger trucks. It also fits the Chrysler,DeSoto, and Canadian long block car engines. It's not really a high performance head unless you have some metal shaved off but the SPITFIRE lettering is cool.

how much to ship it to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada?

PM me with your complete address and I can get a quote for you.

I did just give someone in Victoria,Australia and it came to $59.68 so Canada must be less.

Are these are aluminium? Cast or machined?

And it they are aluminium, how much lighter are they?

The head is cast iron IanT. A mere 48 lbs including the packaging for shipment.

I have two 1 tons as yard art right now, but both were running as recently as 1964......so they should be in great shape for a SF head. Probably hang it on my wall in the shop and smile at it once in awhile. :D
