hkestes41 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 There has been some discussion on here a few times concerning interior insulation, when I stumbled across this I though some of you may be interested. Good to see another new P15 product on the market. http://www.quietride.com/docs/mopar_cars_fw_catalog.pdf I know nothing about this company or product but it sounds good. If it fits and works like they say it does then the price is not too bad. Quote
David Maxwell Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Wish they would have had that when I was insulating mine. I essentially did the same thing (perhaps a little more) by first applying Dynamat Xtreme to the entire interior. I then applied a thick layer of Xtremeliner foiled back foam over the entire interior firewall. Over that, I replaced the original firewall cover. It cut down the heat transfer completely and reduced engine noise dramatically. I believe this new product would have saved me time and money. Merle Coggins Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 I got my entire interior kit from Quiet Ride Solutions. They've been great people to work with. I had some questions regarding some of the pieces that they send. After some communication back and forth we sorted it all out. Apparently I was the first customer to purchase the Pilot House truck parts since someone gave them the patterns. See my interior thread. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=13189 Quote
fedoragent Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 Alright, so I'm getting a hell of alot of heat from coming through my firewall. This thread hasn't been touched since '09, but so far have you guys been happy with the heat that is cut down? Thanks, FG. Quote
mrwrstory Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 I'd be interested in a source for a firewall pad too,,......assuming it's not twice the price of the material. Quote
iamjeff171 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 My dad just sprayed some lizard skin on the interior of his 63 galaxie. We dont have the interior all put back together yet, but you can tell a major diference in sound resonation just from tapping on the exterior panels. Quote
