WatchingWolf Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 1950 D33 (Dodge Wayfarer) Was missing transmission when purchased. I have the fluid coupling, clutch, plate, throwout, fork and upper bell housing. I still need the lower bell housing. I purchased a 1948 Dodge trans of unknown origin and found it to be about 7 inches to long. Can anyone provide me with he measurements for A&B as noted in the attached diagram for the correct 1950 D33 transmission. Both Jefferson and Iola are comming up here in Wisconsin. Thanks, Wolf Quote
Young Ed Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Did the wayfarer use the short 3spd? Quote

Young Ed Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I think I know where there is a shortly ply tranny but you'd have to convert to fluid drive input Quote

PatS.... Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Here's the bottom cover for my 1949 Chrysler Fluid Drive/3 speed standard. I have an extra if you need one still, just pay the shipping. Quote
WatchingWolf Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 It appears that a fluid drive input shaft is 11 5/8" +/- Plymouth dry clutch is somewhere around 8 1/2" +/- This is the dimension you should get if you subtract A from B in my original post. Quote
