Bob_Koch Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 I received an email from Don Bunn's wife a week ago and she said it was alright to share the following information with the group. Don had major heart surgery a few years ago and after his recovery his personality began to change. Though he will deny it, his wife shares that he has been diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer disease. He forgets many things and can't finish projects. She ended up finishing his last book for him though she knows nothing about trucks. I personally know from my correspondence with him that his emails are losing coherence and are not always responded to. She had to respond to my last two emails. I thought the group would want to know this since we all think so much of Don. Keep him in your prayers and also his wife as she indicated that life is becoming more difficult now as they deal with this disease. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Very sad. Ive got an aunt and an uncle who both have it and I can attest to how hard it is for everyone involved. Quote

48Dodger Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 That is sad news. I appreciate his wife sharing this very personal information about her family. I pray that their journey is strong, simple, and full of love. I wish I had had a chance to thank Don personally for his contributions to my favorite trucks, but from where I stand, I can only tip my hat, and say thank you. 48 Dodger Quote
