Hello everyone and Don Coatney...it has been a while since I had any input but I have been reading the posts....I just got back from Choo-Choo Town TN. where I taught a 3 day class in woodcarving. The furniture buisness ground to a halt in this recession so I had to fall back on my past endevours...I had planned on doing a little digging for civil war relics in the Stones River area...( a friend of mine who lives there has permission for a couple of spots to hunt) but it was raining and time got out of hand and when my wife starts for home she see's the barn door open and there is no stoppng the train....Anyway, now that I am back for a while I finally ordered the parts to finish the disk brake set up on the 49 Dodge...I will take some shots and post them as I progress....If anyone has any input on this procedure I'd appreciate a note...I am using the scare bird kit I bought a while back.....more to come....john ..:D

The stones river is almost within sight of my house. I have friends with metal detectors who fine relics each time out. I had a GG Uncle (Nicholas Skeel Belch) who was wounded at the battle of Stones River.

one of things that you mid-west and east coasters have that we on the left coast don't, AMERICAN HISTORY everywhere! As my kids get older and appreciate more, I plan on doing some "history" travel....

Don, to have family history like that above is so cool.
