Aussie D25 Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 Hows it goin Aussie D25This car was on E-Bay about 12 months ago also, it either didnt sell or the new owner decided to up the anty! Nice cruzza, but way outta my price range! Yeah going well mate, just moved into my new place over the last weekend and now settigng up the workshop of awesomeness Problem is, I had my Dad down to help me move and every time I suggested that I was going to be bringing my car back down from his place to start work on it he would make a joke that I had a motgauge to worry about and that I'd better leave the car there for the time being as he wanted to get the chrome done on it and get it to a drivable state to bring it down under its own power.... I saw red and thought NO, this is why I got the thing in the first place ... its my toy and unlike every other christmas since I can remember I am going to get to play with this one first. I didnt say it too him as I do respect my parents , but I was so angry when he insiuated that he was going to restore the car. Quote
pflaming Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 What is a 'banana sand'? Is that similiar to a Texas sandwich, i.e., "two slices of bread and a lot of balony between"? Quote
Frank Elder Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Boo....Hiss, bad Pflaming! Panama sand is as close as dodge got to plymouth's charlotte ivory color. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Aussie D25, Consider finding a project for your dad. He just sees all the fun in restoring and wants to participate. Help him get his own car, he'll like it better anyway. Or tell nim to keep his dirty hands off yer car or you'll feed him to the dingos. Quote
B-Watson Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 The car is a Canadian-built Dodge Custom - you can see the Windsor plant's black and silver tag on the left side of the cowl. The tag would have the model number, engine number, paint code and trim code. Would like to know what is stamped on that tag. Also wonder if the colour is the original. The engine would be the 25" block 218.1-cid engine. Bill Vancouver, BC Quote
