dezeldoc
Turn your heat up and your wire speed down, your bead is a little to big and the penetration could be a little better

dezeldoc
Just use the metal you have and make straight passes, just lay a piece flat and go to it, try and make a pretty bead without blowing holes through it. do that enough then start welding a couple pieces together, hell see wat kind of art ya come up with! PS see if you can get a shot of the controls on the machine, maybe from the factory and post them up, maybe we can get ya going a little better. dezeldoc
For 18ga sheet metal set it on the third setting on the heat and the wire on 30 and see what that gets ya. if it seems like it is not hot enough play with the wire drop it a little then try again, go up and try again and see. how fast you move the torch will play into it also. I think that welder is pretty close in amps as my lincoln 110v, and if I preheat the metal I can wels 3/8 no problem.
