Normspeed Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Some day I really want an early Dodge roadster with a souped up flattie. Really neat. Quote
Grandadeo Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I keep looking, but I think you're going to trip over an old Dodge roadster body where you are now. Quote

Olddaddy Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Another victim of the economy is my 29 DeSoto roadster. Currently sitting quietly waiting for better days just outside my barn. I've got the 29 DeSoto body, a 31 Plymouth chassis, 230 flathead six engine, T5 five speed, 8 3/4 rear end and early Plymouth wire wheels. I hope I live long enough to build it. PS, I need a steering box, deck lid, windshield frame, and seat......... Quote
greg g Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Charlie, there was just a ech thread on the HAMB where a fellow did a how to on making your own windshiled frame. Deck lid, make up a pick up style boed to drop int he hole. Also say a set up where a fellow mounted a manual steering rack to his drivers side frame rail going in the same direction as the frame rail. He then uses the pass side tie rod as the pitman arm attaching to the steering arm of the drivers side wheel, and a regular tier rod to the pass side on a solid axles set up. The drives side tie rod was removed and the end of the rack sealed. Quote
