pflaming Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Saw this this evening, went back and got some pictures. The car is in Fresno, telephone #s are: 209 259 0650 and 209 868 4123. Price on the sign was $4,500. Looked quite good, should have opened the trunk for rust check, inside all stock, radio with veritical push buttons, etc. PF Quote

Don Coatney Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Where in Fresno is this car located? Quote
moparjack44 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 IMO, way over priced. Reasonable price, $1200 - $1500, if you were looking for one. I would have to study long and hard before I would give over $1200 Jack Quote

moparalltheway Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I guess I got took on the 49? Quote
speedyshark Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Now a days if the car is complete and runs drives good it is worth at least 2k+ depending on rust and what not. I agree the car might be over priced, but with out looking at it close. interior, motor, floorboards, trunk, condition of interior. If it is all there and runs might be worth over 2k. I just do not see over 4k.I see cars rusted out missing parts, no motor or trani, no interior and ugly selling for 1k+. I guess finding a car under the or around the 1k range is hard. Good thing or bad depends on what side you are on. with in the next few months people will be unloading projects to get fast cash so the deals will start to hit real soon. Quote
RobertKB Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I guess I got took on the 49? I never did see a picture of your car. If it is like you say, it is probably nicer than this '47 and worth more. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but it would be nice to see some more words about the '47. Does it run? Interior? Rust? Sellers always want lots so they can come down in price but what is being asked here is way too much. Quote
pflaming Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 I did not note the sales yard, but it was a used car dealership. If it is a Fresno area car then it should be quite rust free. This is a very dry climate little humidity and lots of dry heat. It was dark so I did not look closely at its condition. It did look like it had been driven to where it was parked. Quote
