L78-15 Tire size?

What size is this???? I like them because they have a 4" white wall, will they work ? My stock tire size for my 50 plymouth is 670-15. Price is not too high also.

the L78-15 is close to the 8.20-15 or P235/75R15 or P255/70R15.

far as which one to go with, I like the look and price of the first one. Size might be off though.

I got these sigma shadows P215/75R15 for $38.99 a piece at NTB (national tire and battery). Originally brought home P205/75R15's but they were too short compared to my 6.70-15's, and the 215's were cheaper.

Going to DA off the lettering and paint the white walls on with Krylon. From bead to the molded outer line is 3.75". Not sure if I want 'em that wide but it would be easier to paint a straight edge up to that line. And if I don't like the results they have the skinny white wall on the other side.

Rolliejoe, while you are DA'ing off the letters I think you will find a big WHITE surprise underneath. Rubber is white and dyed tire black. You can make your own WWW's if you have a steady hand.

I ran L78-15 tires on the rear of my 50 Plymouth back in the day when I was in high school.

The tires looked very muscular.

This was a Cadillac tire back then.

They have these also, price is in between the two.They make this too hard too many tires !!!

I posted a tire /wheel size calculator that shows you the difference and you can make changes as you go through your considered sizes.

use Tims chart to find the closest currentcurrent sizes for your uses. The L78 size is about 29 iches tall.

Hopefully this is the last tire question, I found a set of 15x7 700R15 www for cheap will these fit a 50 Plymouth?
