What's this tag??

Ok. I took the 53' bed off the 48' frame and found a tag attached to the inside fender bolt. Anyone know what it's for? just curious.

I'm putting 1948 fenders on this bed.

Interesting, the number 1396 727 does not show up in the 48-53 pilot house parts book. The number sequence falls in to the range used by the pilot house trucks but for some reason its not in the book.

Just one more mystery involving these trucks!
