A man just like Patrick Henry ran for President in 2004, and was on the ballot in most states. I supported him heavily, but he only managed to get 0.25% of the vote. People want hand-outs and special privileges. There are just too many people that think civil government is about getting a bigger piece of the pie. I once read a book that has resonated with me for a very long time entitled, Why Not Freedom. Along with many other voting reforms, the authour recommended that those receiving public assistance or worked for the government be barred from voting. You can't allow the fox to guard the hen house.
