Rodney Bullock Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 A friend of mine is putting together a 42 convertible and neds the trim that goes around the front fenders and a grill if you have it. I dont know what a 42 Chrysler looks like, let alone a convertible. Quote
RobertKB Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Here's a picture of a '42 sedan. I never have much cared for the grill treatment and they have matching strips on the rear fender. Being a '42 there were not many made so you friend is going to have fun finding parts. It will be a quite unique vehicle when finished. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Its probably just the angle of the pic but the headlights don't look like they are in the same spot on each side. Not a bad looking car but I'd rather have a 42 desoto. Quote
PatS.... Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I really like that grille, the nicest on that body style, I think. I also really like the 42 DeSoto with the hidden headlights...very classy looking. Quote
RobertKB Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I personally like the grill better on the '41 Chrysler. This one is a convertible as well. I would love a '41 Chrylser big butt coupe as shown in the second and third pictures. Quote
thedahmer Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Had some, sold them over $4K for the set-- good luck! they are HARD to get, makes a p15 dash clock look like an everyday purchase- might want to check Deception Pass Auto Parts== Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Posted October 22, 2008 Uh oh, I think my guy is in trouble:cool: he better get the lead out. that looks very unique. I like it but wow that's advanced for 42. Thanks for the pic:) Quote
