Hey Clance...hard to see the pic..got only a thumbnail..I would guess this is a 6 volt item? Most the times if the widings are still good and the motor is tight..you can seperate the housings and soak the bushings in oil, polish the shaft where they ride in the bushing and if wires are frayed, carefully cut the string and insulation at the start of the winding, resolder new modern better quality rubber wire and re-insulate and tie the wire back down..

That is a vacuum fan isn't it? I have one just like it that does not work. I will be interested to hear how to repair it. I was thinking of seperating the case to see what could be done inside. My understanding is that inside is just a wheel with fins to turn the fan when vacuum is present. Don't know what could go wrong other than poor seals.
