New to forum, it's been a great asset for my new too me 51 cranbrook 4 door. Just replaced rear brakes. Pulled off fronts to check condition. Right front was good, left front drum is gouged pretty deep. Seems like it may not be able to be turned out, but I live close to an excellent brake shop so I will have them try. The troubling part is the spindle is equally gouged. Any idea what could have caused this? Bearings are good and front end is tight. Gonna enjoy it as a weekend cruiser and rebuild as needed over the winter any ideas of the cause or prevention would be greatly appreciated. As I hope to locate a new spindle in the near future.
