  1. Well now we have the internet... I am new here and just as a couple others were concerned if Rock might not come back, if it weren't for Plymouth Adams, I would have already left here because of a few guys attitudes around here. I view this as a place to help fellow Plymouth heads and as long as nothing is vitriolic or mean spirited, whats with the "get in line and do it the way we say" attitude. Sheeez, The guy was just wondering about a part. I think the classifieds is a nice feature and should be used, just like the search engine, but if a guy asks a simple question why not just answer it if you know the answer?
  2. Honestly, what does it hurt to mention you have something for sale or need something in the main forum? Just my thoughts, not that they count!
  3. Properly done and painted you wouldn't know the difference anyway. But we all have preferences.
  4. Depends on if you want a show car or want a strong and easier fix. POR-15 and fiberglass + POR patch (after preparing properly) can do the latter and it dries as hard as a rock. http://www.por15.com/Floor-Pan-Repair_ep_77.html http://www.por15.com/FLOOR-PAN-TRUNK-KIT_p_61.html
  5. Rusty Hope (Old Daddy) for the conversion brackets and supply list. Will be using aajbrakes master cylinder kit. http://rustyhope.com/site/mopar-discbrakes http://www.aajbrakes.com
  6. Pflaming.... thank you. Unlike others, I don't get all jacked up about spelling or minor human inconsistencies. "Misspell" all you want!
  7. Old Daddy...
  8. Spent the weekend getting one side of the green sleds front disc conversion completed. Wondering? Anyone interested <edit: deleted mention of parts for sale> I am also doing a 12 V conversion and <edit: deleted mention of parts for sale> <Edit: Please place buy/selling items in classified area>
  9. Thank you. The new relay included has only three terminals: Horn, Switch and Battery. As I understand it, the old relay had a junction point to power several items that required power only with the ignition in the on position. So when wiring the new ignition coil in now, what was on the negative side of the coil coming from the top of the firewall through that conduit type apparatus, will now be on the positive side of the coil correct?
  10. Yep. I just figured this out after scratching far enough to find the numberts on it. Thanks guy and thank you for the diagram as well. Best Regards
  11. Gents, Can you tell me what this part is? I am doing a 12v conversion and tidying up thiings which mean splicing and re-routing so things look nice. However, I dont know what this is let alone where I get another one. It was mounted on the firewall. Wires in order go to: 1. Positive side of starter selenoid. 2. Ties into the wires that go forward to the front lighting. 3. Negative side of the coil. 4. Believe it or not, the wire goes down to the steering box and goes inside it. Wierdest thing.... Anyway, any help on this would be apprecaited. I looked over the forum and tech areas and even looked a shop manual and elec diagram and could not figure this out. Thanks in advance.
  12. Plymouth Adams... talking on the phone and getting what you paid for as promised are two different things...... Nuff said
  13. Yep. Something seems a bit off kilter... Guess I better check my credit card (wifes) statment, cancel or charge back if I have too and repair what I have. What a shame but I have this exact same experience. Something is not good here....
  14. Suntennis. Thank you. Exactly my experience. I hope he pulls through as I am ready to repair what I have and drive on.
  15. thanks
  16. Don, I never saw your message. I responded just now.
  17. Question.... Has anyone had any issues with timeliness on ordered parts from Wayne "The Plymouth Doctor" ? I have had a toe pan on order for about 2 months, was told it would ship about 1.5 months ago, called him, sent e-mails and still no part. My impression was that he was pretty well sought after for the best replacement parts. I don't doubt that, but am beginning to doubt attention to customer service. I really want to work with Wayne, but am about ready to repair what I have and move on. Not happy....
  18. Don... very good thread. thank you. Please PM me, I would like to talk Best Jim
  19. No problem. I will refrain next time.
  20. Hi Don, quite aware of the numerous threads.... too many opinions Looking for solid solutions. But thanks, I will look over that post. Northeast Indiana... Wabash. You? Thanks Don
  21. I have a 1949 plymouth 2nd series special deluxe, all stock but am thinking of a front disc conversion. I realize all the options out there, but am more concerned about a proven dual resevoir master cylinder. I would prefer more of a bolt on or relatively easy exchange without any or much modification. I know ECI makes one, AAJ, Butch's, (any others) Just trying to keep it simple and reliable. Thanks in advance
