  1. I did exactly this w/o the mixer. I put the nuts and bolts with a little soapy water to clean out the tank, and then used a high quality sealer to coat the inside of the tank. I gave it two separate coats, and let it sit for about 1 year (didn't mean to, but I wasn't ready for it until then). I haven't had any problems at all with the sealer coming loose or getting sucked up to the pump. Good luck-Mike
  2. Anyone have a NAPA or other p/n for the rear seal on a flr shifted 3 speed tranny (49 1 ton). Thanks-Mike
  3. I'd like to swap out the 3 spd flr shifted trans in my 52 1 ton with a 4 spd to give me a creeper gear for parade use. I bought a tranny the other day that came out of a 56 1/2 ton short bed. When I started measuring, the bolt ears are completely different from those in my 3 speed bell housing. How many different bell housings did they make for the small 6, and which one do I need? I have a 39 2 ton parts truck with a 5 spd in it that I'm going to check out today. I was hoping that this would be a bolt in swap with just some driveshaft shortening. Guess this is going to be a lot more. Is there a 4 speed that will bolt up to my existing bell housing? Thanks-Mike
  4. A work in progress
  5. You may want to put some type of cushion on the face that contacts the tire so that you don't leave grooves cut into the sidewall of the tire. Just my 2 cents
