With proper float level and a heat shield, starting issues usually disappear. No need to complicate a simple system. IMHO

Like I said earlier, the mounts are a little crude looking compared to a Fulton, but they do the job and allow plenty of adjustability. If I were keeping the car, I would fabricate a SS cover for the mounts.

I forgot to give an update on the Agape fender skirts and visor ! Excellent fit on both, built really well and all the rolls and bends were spot on. The side mounting brackets on the visor are a little crude compared to a Fulton, but considering the cost, they're acceptable. Yesterday evening a local nursing home had a "cruise-in" for the residents, and it really touched the soul. I usually don't participate in things of this nature, as I consider an old car something to drive, use and enjoy, but I'll try to never miss this event in the future. Workers and volunteers assisted the residents around to view the cars and talk to the owners, most in wheelchairs and walkers. They shared stories of cars past in their life, with abundant smiles. Some day this will be many of us, with these old cars we love only a memory ............................... The production company rented it for a couple of months, actually from the previous owner. When I bought the car he informed me the production company said it may be in a few scenes, depending on editing. I was surprised to see it used in scenes with the main characters. Good to see an old Mopar instead of the standard Ford and Chevy.

The new Elvis movie released today, "The Identical" has two scenes with a '49 Suburban. The first scene is around 24 minutes in, with the car sitting in front of the Honky-Tonk. The second scene is a few minutes after with Elvis and his dad sitting in it talking before leaving said Honky-Tonk.
