Any body know where I can find housing and dry element to replace oil bath on my 47 d24?

Had a friend I worked with, parked his old BSA bike in the ware house everyday. I would pour fresh oil under it when he was at lunch. I actually put 1 1/2 quarts down one day, he said he did not even know it held that much. He sold the bike. I did not have guts to tell him. My bad. But the karma has come home with my 47 d24!

I see I am not the only one to fab up my own custom battery hold down LOL. My 47d24 either never had one from factory or the aliens took it for their own personal use. P.S. I blame them for everything .Every 2 years when it comes time to renew my plates they have taken my personal property tax receipt out if my glove box. I didn't think they needed plates for their craft.

Hey guys. Trying to make decision on 47 d24 my wife bought. Rockers are totally gone where the body mounts to frame as are most of the body mounts .Front floor sections was replaced by some other owner with flat sheet metal. Are there replacement inner structures made , I know they could be replicated with right tools and experience. She loves the car but it is wearing me out keeping it on the road. She loves the car and doesn't want me hot rodding it with later model power and suspension as our two other rods are. P.S. the doors aren't sagging yet but I am surprised .I will try to get some pictures later this week. Thanks.

Anybody know correct fuel pressure for 47 d24? My pump gave up want to install airtex electric e8011 5 to 8 psi will it work?

Hi, all. We are going to local swap meet in Missouri at cape Girardeau in Feb. and still cant pull the trigger on extra parts. Here is the deal. My wife bought a 47 d24 last year that came with 2 trailer loads of spare parts. She wants to sell off all of it but I am not so sure. Her car is a survivor and runs well. But it would be nice to have spare sheet metal etc.. in case it gets wrecked. She forbids me to hot rod it, and change anything from original. Any input would help. P.S .there are a lot of hard parts to, like extra trans, rear axel etc..

Thanks I will double check the metallurgy, there are no completed listings that I can find ,unless I am doing something wrong, which is most likely knowing me ! Can't even find a current similar part1

Mr. Douglas, you sir are a Godsend! Thank you so much for your patience with me,a (newbie) and all your research ! I am on the hunt for the right fluid now with a renewed since of confidence. And to all who beat me up over this subject being covered before I will wait till some one needs advice on a 39 chevy street rod which I do know a little about, but I will ! be kind. LOL!

O.K. so I asked you guys before about this subject, took some flak because you say it has been covered, but I can't find it! Here goes, what weight and spec oil goes in the fluid drive( coupling) portion of my 47 d24? Some one suggested the service manual, but all it says is use genuine Mopar Fluid Drive oil ! any ideas? help?

Hi, the wife won one of these set ups at a car show. We turned in the coupon for a 6 volt positive ground for her 47 dodge d24. I haven't had time to install it yet its laying on my work bench. I am heading out door to a swap meet right now, its 5 am in st Louis lol, but I will look at the coil they shipped when I get home and let you know . -

Pull harmonic balancer and check for loose inner ring where it is pressed together had this happen sounded like rod knock.
