  1. It's been so long since i have worked with imron... i have no idea what would be compatible with it today. Most paint stores can make you any paint in a spray can, check with your local paint store and see what they recommend.
  2. Back at ya Mikey! I don't celebrate it either not my faith but does not matter.
  3. Here is a little better explanation on the subject. http://www.bodyshopbusiness.com/Article/3423/let_me_out_solvent_popping.aspx
  4. Chester, a lot of times you will get what is called solvent popping. What it is is trapped solvent and as time passes it rises into tiny bubbles, it can be sanded and buffed out in most cases. Good call on your part, give it a few months and see what it looks like most likely it will not come back.
  5. Another happy Grundy customer.
  6. Perfect advise, a lot of miles on her see what records they have and don't be afraid to have a shop check it out, kinda a lot of coin for a 4 door in my book.
  7. Looks super Chester! It is rewarding to finally get to the finishing touches. Enjoy it!
  8. To all the good forum members, i apologize for letting this twit get to me, i am old enough to know better. And as a side note those that know me, know i can back up what my fingers can type. I am done, carry on!
  9. good luck with your chevy powered sh*it box!
  10. I used to be a bowtie guy through and through till i bought my first Mopar to flip and drove it around for a month or so. That car was a 70 340 Challenger convertible. That car whooped butt on any chevy i raced and it rode way better than any chevy i had driven. When someone says that one brand is cheaper or easier to work on than a moper it shows they do not know much as one is no harder than another or cheaper if you know where to look. And most are right it is their car and money so they can do what they please with it. but ask for advise and you know what is going to happen, go to a chevy site and tell them you are going to drop a sb mopar in a camaro and watch what happens!! I have a buddy that put a 440 in a 57 chevy just to piss off the chevy guys and it worked! And yes i used to put a sb chevy into all kinds of cars but but now i try and keep with the same brand of motor as car.
  11. OK now you are showing your ignorance! I can build a sb mopar that will crush your chevy for pretty much the same $$. Mopar has and always will be far more technically advanced than gm.
  12. I remember that drive in, used to go there when i was a kid.
  13. Stupid motor choice but at least it is not a chevy!! Good luck finding a rear sump oil pan for it that will fit.
  14. Your best bet would be to hire someone who has done this before and stick to their side and watch and learn as much as possible. Ask any questions you have no matter how stupid you may think they are, Their are a lot of welders and tools that i am sure that you do not have and will need, that will cost thousands on top of what the parts will cost, and on the your first build i feel it better spent on paying someone to show you the ropes. I am not a chevy fan so i would not use that power plant, rather a small block mopar will work better for the swap also as their are parts that will work better than the chevy. Also do a search on here and you will find a ton on this subject, and as Tim suggested try the Hamb also. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/
  15. That is what i was thinking but this is Chrysler, a little different style than Chevy.
  16. I found one while cleaning up, says Chrysler on the tag, has a round reservoir. any idea of the worth or if someone has a use for one.
  17. more crazyness! http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3175483338.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3188478250.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3202827928.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3203106416.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3174831975.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/cto/3174841820.html

  20. Looks like the inner workings of a pinball machine!!
  21. Old wifes tale Frankie. it ain't true.
  22. A little known fact is mopar made a mount in the very early 60's that mounted off the front of the block and moved them about 2" forward of normal. Also you can make any kind of mount you need or slide the motor to the right a bit. look in speedway they have a bunch of different mounts also that could make it easy.
  23. The biggest cause of this is. the guy that mounted it and tightened the wheel did not hit the first one that they tightened again. The first one tightened will always be looser than the rest as it had to pull the wheel up tight to the drum/rotor, and the rest when tightened will pull the wheel tighter and make the first one looser than the rest. I always go around at least 3 times..
  24. Nice, After the move to the new house i have about 2 tons waiting to go down to the scrapper.
  25. Could also be a vacuum leak, they tend to make a high pitch sound.
