What happened to this? Is the file covering the E7T2 carb available somewhere?
-
Great! I have bought a '49 Plymouth or Dodge 218" with three gears plus overdrive unit. Donor car was equipped with column-shift. I'm not sure but I guess it must be what you show in the picture. My plan is to put everything in my '37 Plymouth Coupe and to use a conversion kit to get the shifter in original floor position, which is center of gearbox. Is that possible with your equipment?
-
Hi! I'm working on very much the same set-up exept I'll go with three single barrel Carters. Have you considered another camshaft? I guess your gearbox with O/D will leave you with column shift. Since I want my shifter on the floor, still with O/D, do you have any idea how to fix that?

I've got a '37 Plymouth coupe with original front suspension. How did you lower it and how much? I want mine down 1 or 2 inches.

So, where did this operation end up? I'm interested in the final solution since I plan to do the same on my '37 Coupe.
-
Well, discs are surely a brakewise good alternative but... plan is a "1955 period correct" racecar like the Cotton Owens -37 Plym with 331 Hemi (Yes, I will use that engine). Thats the reason for using bigger drumbrakes.
-
Question... anyone having a suggestion for suitable front drumbrakes, approximately 10 - 11" fitting on original tube axle spindels? I use original 16" wheels. Best would be if I could also find a main brakecylinder, two circuit preferably.
-
Thanks everybody for your efforts! I get a little confused though since the figures differs quite a lot. Reason for asking is that I'm gonna put in a 331 HEMI with a T5 gearbox and keep everything else, as far as possible (exept for bigger drumbreaks and an 8 3/4 rear end) in original shape. That means ie keeping the tube axle frontsuspension. I need to know how much extra weight this operation will add. I do not intend to lower the front suspension other than what the extra weight(?) might do.

...and Oldguy48, I still can't find any thread or answers...

Sorry, I really tried to search everywhere in the forum!

Anybody here knowing the weight of a 201 (or 218/230) cui Plymouth engine, complete with starter, generator etc? I'm also wondering about the weight of the complete engine and manual gearbox together.
-
How much do you intend to lower it in front? I've got a -37 Plymouth BC and my plan is to get it 1-2" closer to the ground... so I'm following this thread with excitement :-)

Valve covers, difference short/long block?
Rumblin Rolf replied to Rumblin Rolf's topic in P15-D24 Forum
Thanx for the info, Don. I found an add for finned alu-covers said to fit all Mopar Flat Six'es. Can't obviously be right then. -
Is there any difference in size/fastening between the valve cover plates of the Plymouth/Dodge flat six and the Chrysler/DeSoto flat six? Questioning because the different lengths of the engines.
