  1. Mine also went to a local Auto/Boat Upholster. The seats were in poor shape, rodents did a job on them. We had not only the seat and back upholstered, also the kick panels, door panels, arm rest and sun visor..looks good and not very expensive. I will try to attach a photo.
  2. Let me know the specifics about the rebuild, I may have to deal with mine in the near future. I have a weird clanking noise in the lower front area of mine. Could that be the harmonic balancer?
  3. Can you let me know about the installation and how on the 3:55 Differential? Thanks..
  4. I used paypal to send in my membership today..it appears to still be working?
  5. A friend of mine has a 1950 Dodge Pickup for sale. I posted with pics on the Trucks for Sale Thread. If any interest reply and I will provide a contact number.
  6. Thanks Desotodav, your link of the restoration was great. I am not doing a complete frame off resto. The truck was not in very bad shape, alot of cosmetic and mechanical work. I will keep the drive train for now..possibly change out the rear end to get a little better highway speed. The engine and transmission were replaced in the mid 70's. The engine was a rebuilt P28 from around 1956, the transmission came out of a junk yard..I believe it is a 1948 4speed non syncro..fun trying to shift it...milage last recorded by my Father in 1976 was 42230 it currently has 42970. It was parked in Arkansas for the last 35 years. I was very happy to get it back after all those years.
  7. Ok it should work now, I left a forward slash out of the link...sorry

  12. Just posting a few pics of my Spring Special. I hope to match the colors shown in #6. Also a pic of mirror brackets and hinge pins I had made. Currently getting ready for Body & Paint. I discovered my engine is a P28 Series block date of 8/55. Transmission is dated 12/24/48 with what I believe is the model #C - 38661, a 4 speed that is a real grinder.
  13. I got mine from Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts. www.oldmoparts.com
  14. Tim, Call us if you need some help, hope to have Clyde in good shape by then. Merry Christmas, Jerry & Holly
  15. Still waiting for Rare Parts in Stockton, CA. They are making hinge mounts to fit my 53 B4B. Will bolt an arm similar to Vintage PW on them. It is not cheap to have them made...
  16. Holly & I are looking forward to the BBQ, it was great in 2011.. We hope to have the 53 B4B Spring Special all spruced up by then.
  17. Some pics of the Spring Special, having trouble like others finding the matching colors...Still working on the interior, like the lone star spring special the interior is a challenge however it is taking shape. Hope to have exterior painted in December.
  18. Did you want Pics of the outside mirror brackets? I have returned the taillights from Roberts. The mirror brackets were to narrow to fit over my door hinge assembly, currently having a pair fabricated from Rare Parts in Stockton, CA.
  19. Thanks for the info, will give VPW a call. I just ordered mirrors and brackets from VPW. The bracket to the door posts is to small as well as the hinge pin bolts. Tnx Jerry
  20. Count me in on a set, I have the long one but the threads are messed up. Tnx jerry_little@comcast.net
  21. I have recently purchased Tail Lights from Roberts, they are very small and not assembled, the parts appear to be inferior and do not fit together well. Can anyone advise me as to where I can find quality tail lights?
  22. Looking for a Passenger outside rear view mirror assy for my 53 B4B. I notice some members fabricated their own. Can anyone assist me in finding the passenger side or both to match.
  23. Looking for original paint color specs for my Spring Special 53 B4B. Original was 2 tone green, pale green and dark green. It appears the wheels were same as pale green color. Current picture attached. Tnx Jerry Little
  24. Thanks All for the great messages. The wheels are off, will take the old tires off and sandblast the wheels and paint them before new tires...body will have to wait awhile. Ron's Auto is working on the charging system and brakes now.
