  1. Thank you for the replies. I did look at the paint chips on the DPETCA site, but unless I missed it there isn't anything listed there for 1950 either. Thanks again, David A.
  2. Hello, Does anyone know what the DuPont paint number is for the Deep Blue color that was available on the 1950 Dodge pickups? As my luck usually runs, the local paint dealer is missing the color chips for 1950 Dodge Trucks. I looked at the 1948-53 chips. They show a Deep Purple Blue, a Waterway Blue, a Dark Blue, and a Ecuador Blue, but the Deep Blue that is shown in my Sales Features Booklet isn't listed for any of the other years. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You, David A.
  3. I was looking through ebay and saw some vinyl decals available for 1948 - 1953 Dodge truck gauges. They are $25 for the set. The item number is 150331926792. It says they have 8 sets available. Thought some of you on this forum might be interested. David Anderson
  4. Just wanted to say thanks to both of you for your help!! I will also check out Terrell Machine. David Anderson
  5. Hi, Can someone please help identify what engine I have in my truck? It's a 1950 B-2-B-108. The Serial # on the engine is TI72*99562* The casting date is 11-21-50, and there is a number towards the bottom back drivers side of the block 1119729-28. I want to order parts to rebuild the engine, and Egge Machine Company shows all 1950's as 230 engines, but everything I have read leads me to believe that the 1950, 1/2 ton pickups had 218 engines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, David Anderson
  6. I had to have one made. It was a very easy job. It's basically a piece of bar stock cut to length and a hole drilled for the pin to hold it in place on the center shaft support. Don't forget to stake the pin in place on the center support shaft. That pin is the only thing that keeps the rod from working it's way out!
  7. Merle is correct. I just removed my Fluid Drive Brake and Clutch pedals and re-bushed them. I also replaced the shaft. After removing the 2 bolts on the center shaft support, the shaft will slide out of the bell housing. Mine was a little snug so I sprayed it with penetrating oil and turned it back and forth as I slid it out. Once it is off the truck, there is a small pin that is holding the shaft to the support. I drove it out from the bottom side then the shaft slid out of the support.
  8. Thank you to the individuals that responded to my question. I called Vintage Power Wagons today and ordered the Escutcheons from them. I don't have any originals to compare theirs to, but hopefully they are pretty close to the originals. Thank you again!
  9. Thank you for your reply. I ordered escutcheons and interior handles from Roberts several weeks ago. Roberts says the handles are smaller than what was originally in my truck. The escutcheons he sent will not work on the 48-50 pickups. They are just flat ribbed discs. From pictures I have seen, the ones I need have a spring built in to them that keeps them pressed out against the handles. The ones Bernbaum sells appear to be the same as Robert's from the picture in their catalogue. I will check with Vintage Power Wagons and see what they have. Thank you again for the information.
  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the 4 chrome interior door escutcheons for a 50 Dodge B2B Pickup they would like to sell. I would also be interested in a pair of original window riser and door handles. I'm planning on sending out my chrome to get it replated next week, and would like to have those items to send along as well. My e-mail address is d.a.anderson1@juno.com. Thank You, David Anderson
  11. One other thing to think about...Many times you get what you pay for!! I have restored several automobiles and have found by experience that most of the time the cheaper rubber products may look and fit very good at first; however, they lack the chemical compounds that keep the rubber soft and keep it from weather cracking. After a few years even if kept indoors, the cheaper rubber will usually begin weather cracking especially in the corners.
  12. Hi Merle, I have a 1950 B2B and it has the same "Fluid Drive" emblems that you are looking for. I also need a pair however as mine are broke. Good luck in your search!
