Nice! and I thought my original wool looked good. Sweet color combo as well. Nicely done.

Gaskets alone make it a gold mine. Wow there's a ton of them!

From one Pete to another, please do whatever you can to hang on to it. If I fall into a 50 pound bag of 50's I'm coming over to get it. I miss mine already and it is still in the garage. The new owner and I are working out logistics now. Will be in her new home soon. Take care all and please whatever you do, if you do take the route I did then shoot your reserve high enough that you'll be very happy. Hopefully you won't be in the doghouse too bad if it doesn't make it up there but at least you'll get the right money. I can't complain too much though, I needed it and I took the chance. The new owner sounded like a pretty cool guy on the phone so that's the best I can hope for. Is it too early to start looking for another one?

Well fellas, the deed is done. It didn't turn out like I had hoped but then how many things do. I will say one thing though. I don't wish that bay hell on anybody. There were a couple of reasons I didn't put my reserve a lot higher. I recently saw a real sweet 47 (even nicer than mine) I think and it went for 5600 after being listed a couple times with the reserve not met. I didn't have the luxury of shooting high and hoping, time was a factor as well so I had to be sure it went. Congratulations to the new owner though, popped that last $60 in there with one second to go. Never going through that again if I can help it. Hopefully we get this thing finalized smoothly and all is well in the world. I'll have another one soon enough. Take care all.

10-4's all around. This last 40 minutes should be fun. Here we go.

You are most likely correct Shel. We'll see how she goes.

Thanks, over 30 watchers and nearly met the reserve already. We'l see how it goes.

Thanks for the well wishes everybody. I'm sure that someone will see in this car what I do. When I originally struck the deal with the PO I gave him half up front and then half later. In between the halves of the deal I lost my Dad. Let's just say that he took care of his own business while he still could. He was only 70 and my best friend. In my last conversation with him on Easter Sunday I told him that I had struck a deal for the car and as soon as I told him what it was he knew exactly what I was talking about. 218, 3 on the tree, lots of headroom, 3 row bumpers etc. Said these cars were all over the place when he was a teenager. 4 days later I got the call. The fact that this one was built in Detroit (where I'm from) made me happy as well. I was pretty excited to get it up and running and actually considered driving it to Detroit to take him for a spin in it. I've got a ton of watchers on my auction and I'm sure it will go fine. I'm still going to get another one someday but for the moment she'll have to go. Thanks again and take care.

Hi all, most of you have probably seen my car over in the For Sale section for a while now. Well here is your chance to pick it up for a bargain. The reserve is nowhere near my original asking price so fire away. if you've been looking to pick up a solid original then this is your baby. I'm sick to my stomach but I have run out of options for the time being. Here is a link to the listing on the Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280448879254&ih=018&category=6387&_trksid=p4506.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26ps%3D6 Thank you for the time, I think I'll go throw up now.

Norman Milliner (Norm's Coupe) has past away.

I'm as shocked as anybody. Although I haven't been around here for very long I will miss this guy. There weren't too many subjects regarding these cars that he didn't have a good bit of knowledge about. His voice will live on as long as this forum is alive and the search feature guarantees that the knowlege will be around for a long time. Godspeed in Overdrive Norm! -
I agree with every post so far. I've learned a ton from this forum.

Classic! Flying Louise and a sinus full of cranberries. Even rhymes

Need some help with getting fuel for the restart -
DigmyP18 replied to Tyler drives Betty's topic in P15-D24 Forum
I say pull the top off the carb and fill it with fuel. A lot of guys just fill the bowl through the bowl vent as well. Works either way. Once it fires the pump should pull the fuel from the tank. Hopefully the inside of your tank doesn't look like mine did. I got a deal called Gas Tank Renu done and it was worth every penny. Tank is pristine now. You can remove your fuel sender and take a look inside your tank. You might be surprised or horrified at what you will find. By the way, mine sat for 7 years. Good luck
