Yeah its working its way to that. When I got back into town from buffalo at 6 there was about 3". It looks to have doubled sence, but thats an 'out the window' guess.

I had that issue too. My return springs were rusted solid so over time it did some damage. It's easy to remove and replace though. Remove the four drive shaft nuts and slide the shaft off. Then remove the big nut in the middle of the drum. Should slide off with some pulling. After you fix the brake I would still recomend greg's sugestion of a log under the tire. The cars have been known to run away when no one is looking.

All I know is there will be at least one car that wont fall to parting out. I just drove mine around the block for the first time in a few years fell in love all over again.

Idk about ex military roots but Alaska seems to likes utility, so its possible. Sign on the fender reads: "1942 Dodge 1 1/2 Ton Truck From Hitchinbrook Island Prince William Sound 11,000 actual miles, original tires, flathead 6, 4 speed, double clutch, 98% original, only four owners."

Wow, here i am working in a small 2 car garage with a car jack and blocks of wood. Apparently I'm doing it wrong. Everone has some very nice setups.

How about rapping some coated copper wire around a iron rod and dropping it in there. Should catch alot of the iron if properly electrified.

A little update on the job search if your interested. The Bennington job fell through. Although I had another on the hook in Syracuse and will be taking that job. If anyone has any good leads on apartments, good areas to live, or a place to store my car it would be appreciated.

I had a hot start problem and went through the usual suspects as stated previous. The solution ended up being a new (possibly larger gage) ground wire. Starts every time now.

I see you practice the rule of thirds with your pictures. Congrats on the ability to stop better.
