  1. Good morning! Happy Sunday. I was hoping you you guys could answer a few questions for me. How many quarts do these engines hold? Is there a designated place to pour the oil? Things I've done so far Tested starter Tested generator Rebuilt carb Drained oil Things I need to do. Pressure test radiator Figure out the distributor Install spark plugs New oil New fuel lines and hoses Thanks again!
  2. Are they suppost to have that pattern?
  3. That is the best pic I could find. Not sure what the pattern is from
  4. Ok! Fun day today! Dropped the pan. Thought there would have been more sludge. It was pretty easy to clean. Like Don Coatney said, a little elbow grease makes a difference. Took some pics of the underside of the engine. Excuse all the pics.
  5. Good morning Gents, So today I plan on dropping the pan to clean it. Any tips on cleaning it thoroughly? there any chemical that can leave a clean pan? Thanks again. Hope you have a great weekend
  6. It might be I do see B as the first letter. It may be a 1 after it.
  7. I'm not sure what type of truck it is. I just know the year. I always drive by the place and decided to stop the other day. I have my own project id like to finish before I start another. I'm not totally in love with it . I was hoping to have a running engine and a truck for parts if needed. I do love the yellow color, seems to be in great shape. All the emblems are there. I guess one question would be, why is it stick shift and not three on a tree? The tags are very hard to read
  8. She is a beauty! Look at those curves. Do you know what year?
  9. Jeff your picture size is too big. You must go into your picture settings and you can adjust the size. Probably anything below 4:3 (6.2)should be good. Or you can crop the picture by editing it. Hope that helps.
  10. Just wondering what would be a fair offer for this 49 pilot house. Engine is stuck. Hasn't been started in 20 years. I guess I have a knack for finding Trucks that haven't run in 20 years lol. I assume I'd have to get a new engine. So what would be a good offer knowing I will probably have to replace the engine or rebuild? The interior seems to be in pretty good condition. All gages are there. Thanks
  11. Keeping an eye on this thread. Where are the pics?
  12. Going to drop my pan probably tomorrow. Anyone got any pointers on dropping the pan? I was thinking taking all bolts off, accept maybe keep 4 bolts on each corner and taking it off from there. Is the pan super heavy? Thanks for any advice
  13. Glad you got yours up and running again. I am going to do my best not to lose a part again lol. There is this guy out of Eldon Missouri called the carburetor shop. He said he has a few laying around. I will have one very soon. Thanks to some fine folks on this site. Thanks for the info
  14. Good luck pal. That red dodge is perfect wouldn't touch the exterior. Get those girls back on the road. I'll be watching
