  1. I was looking at the tack strips for the windlace in my car and I notice that they did not use tack strips above the doors. Instead, it looks like the windlace was pinned underneath the metal pieces that the headliner attaches to. But I can't see exactly how they did it. Under the metal pieces, the sheet metal has pointed pieces that can be bent back and forth. Do you attach the windlace to these and then put the metal piece over it when the headliner goes in? I'd like to try and get my windlace installed this weekend and I hope I don't have to do the headliner at the same time.

  2. Why do you need someone to make an adaptor? I installed a T-5 in my car without someone making an adaptor. My car is a flathead 6 (not an 8) but it cant be that difficult to modify the bellhousing to accept a T-5. Follow this link for pictures of how I did it. http://smg.beta.photobucket.com/user/DonCoatney/library/T-5?#/user/DonCoatney/library/T-5?http%3A//smg.beta.photobucket.com/user/DonCoatney/library/T-5?&_suid=136069054617705055162846270084

  3. So far, all of the posting has been relative to working on essentially stock era cars, but if anyone is contempalting a hot-rod of some sort with the inline 8, I'll take the opportunity to insert a shameless plug for a modern trans adapter. I just finished a prototype for a fellow out in Conn for a pick-up truck project. It is a proto-type, it still needs some refinement, but at this point the TorqueFlite looks good. .

  4. I finally went over to my buddies shop and loaded ggdads file onto the cnc plamsa table. I love having friends with big boy toys. I then bent it up and was going to bead roll the bottom but they were using if on a legit paying project. Next time when I make one for my truck I will bead roll the bottom similar to the original. so again, thanks for the file ggdad!

  6. I just can't stand how every storm has to be "named" and the media uses terms like Nemo Slams East Coast! Snow never Slams anything a hurricane does, a tornado does, but for gosh sake it's a f'n snow storm. Everything is so blown out of proportion these days. Make a snowman with your kids, put another log on the fire...have a hot chocolate and be assured that Global Warming will melt it in a couple of days. Geeze, Hank 1952B3b23, I'm sure you had some serious snow to shovel in Massachusetts.
