BobT-47P15 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 I had seen that story a few months ago......he's certainly been making steady progress. I like that color of green he's using. Quote
eric wissing Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Kevin, The guy is high skilled. He is also a glutton for punishment!! I liked the "bubble top". I also like his VW Kambi truck or whetever they are called. Eric Quote
dezeldoc Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 That reminds me of a 63 impala 4dr I sold to a guy and when I dropped it off he showed me what he was using it for. You could stand behind it and see right through to the grill!! that thing did not have one panel that was not rotted through. I don't know weather he ever got it finished or not lost his phone number. Quote
62rebelP23 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 talk about a silk purse from a sow's ear! i've been fortunate to start with pretty solid cars for most of my projects that got anywhere. this one is about as bad as my one and only VW bus, which was so lacy i was scared to drive it home. i junked a '65 Mustang which was so rusty i could put my hands through the roof AND my feet through the floor... which is why i detest vinyl tops.... falconvan Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 It's looking pretty good, but I don't think i could be that brave. He must really want a 61 convertible REALLY bad. Kudos for perseverance, though. Quote
Grandadeo Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Kinda reminds of the story I heard about George Washington's original ax that he chopped down the cherry tree with being for sale. Of course the head had been replaced twice and the handle three times, but it was still the original ax. This make me fell much better about how ruff I thought my projects were. My hat's off to this guy. Lee Quote
John Reddie Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 WOW!! This guy is to be commended for his patience and skill. Just positioning the windshield frame correctly is a feat in itself. My hat is off to him for sure. Thanks for posting this. John R Quote
kevinanderson Posted August 2, 2008 Author Report Posted August 2, 2008 He is skilled, but I give him credit for motivation. Yikes! Quote
